Pad your post count, post your current sig.

My sig has two parts. The first one is a phoenetically spelled sentence whose origins completely escape me. When I was a wee lad back in the day, a friend and I wrote a few parodies of Shakespearian tragedies. Our Fool used that line, but I’m pretty sure we didn’t make it up ourselves…

The other half is a shameless plug, although because there’s no www involved, the software here doesn’t seem to recognize it as such.

I came up with this idea with a friend of mine (along with a whole line of malicious food). Who here actually gets it?

dantheman, you might want to try this in your sig:

Sir Dirx:

Having screwed around with alkali metals (ahem, all in the line of legitimate research, I’ll have you know), I can say that sodium and potassium are MUCH nastier when they hit the water. Lithium, however, is pretty tame stuff. Physicist/Inventor/debunker/inspired loon Robert W. Wood reportedly used to go around Baltimore dressed up like the Phantom of the Opera, carrying little bits of sodium wrapped in twists of paper. He’d drop one into a puddle and watch the expressions on passersby. Must’ve been great at night.

Hmmm…

Hmmm…Lets try that again.

Are you sure about Lithium and Potassium being more reactive? I was under the impression that as you progressed down the group, the characteristics would be more pronounced. At least that’s what one of my chem teachers said anyway…

At any rate, Cesium at least sounds better than Lithium or Potassium anyway.

:stuck_out_tongue:

All for your delight, I am not here.

You rock, Cajun Man!! You’re the wind beneath my wings! Actually, I thought the little note at the bottom of the screen said URL codes were off…

  but :)

I tend to lurk far more than I post.

it’s some song lyrics…

From a website selling Klein bottles:

I actually do not remember but here it is (I think)

Here is my current sig:

I rarely use mine, but it’s posted below.

Cal Meacham’s maternal upbraidment to Yeats’ poetic creature is my current favorite.

let’s try that again…

This is my second sig. My first one was…wearing on me. This one fits me much better
