What are the decision criteria for creating a new page in a thread? Is it based on number of posts? Lengths of posts?
The maximum number of posts on each page, including the original post, is 50. So the 50th REPLY (the 51st post) to a thread will start a new page.
It’s a restriction placed within the html layout, and the text is added afterwards, regardless of length.
I personally would like the length to go longer, since multiple pages are tiresome to load and especially quote from, but it probably does same some bandwidth for people who just read the OP and decide not to post.
