Paid memebership, still have ads.

I have a question. I paid the membership fees, but I still have ads. I’m assuming I’m dong something wrong.

The ads may have been a contributing factor to my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to have bricked, by the way. I was typing something out on the Dope when my phone bricked. I had to pull the battery off to get it to restart, and now it just starts over and over again. It bricked on one of those “hey bro you won a walmart gift card” take over ads that pop up when you are cruising the dope on the cell phone, and it takes you to the vibrator pop up ad where you can’t close it. It then takes you to a place that says “Your android is infected, press here to clean now” but you can’t close it or do anything else other than follow more links to more pop ups, etc.

I say “may have been” because my phone is not new. But I have never had a slow down or problem with it that I have noticed before, other than it hanging too long on dead wifi maybe.

Glad it’s resolved. I honestly don’t know how people cope with the ads here. I’ve never experienced them myself thanks to long-term paying membership and when I let that lapse a trusty adblocker. They seem, as the one you describe above and others I’ve seen complaints about, an absolute nightmare.

Just how bad is the ad experience for those who get them?

its about 5 or 6 in a row until you sign in … and then the new thing from Chrysler at the bottom … and once you do sign in you get one every 3 or 4 thread pages
