Pakistan's Minister for Planning, Development, and Reform roasted for asking Pakistanis to drink less tea to help the economy

Drinking tea is among the most basic social events in Pakistan. But a lot of that tea is imported. Now a Pakistani official is getting heat from his constituents for asking them to reduce their consumption to a mere one or two cups a day.

A lawmaker from the previous ruling party suggested that Pakistanis eat less flatbread to save on flour consumption. His party was later given a vote of no-confidence.
