Palin signs with Fux News

And this was on the same day that Simon Cowell announced he’s leaving Fox’s “American Idol”. Coincidence? HMMMmmmm…

Well, they did get Tony Snow as Press Secretary, so they might think the presidency is worth shooting for.

I just wonder what in the hell she’s going to contribute. I mean, the other contributors at least have some credentials (i.e., being an attorney, a longtime political advisor, or what have you). What does she bring? Small-town television experience? Having a special needs child? Governing one of the smallest states in the country? Or is Fox basing its decision on her being a gimmicky running mate who doesn’t even have the respect of her own campaign’s managers.

Bear in mind that MSNBC still airs Pat Buchanan.

I was more surprised by Simon leaving then the Palin thing. In fact I just had to google it to see if it was true. I’m not sure if that says something about me or American politics.

Fox seems to understand this. She’s not going to have a daily, or even weekly, show. She is going to appear on an occasional basis, and I’m sure she’ll be very well briefed, scripted, and surrounded by supporters. Hannity, O’Reilly et al will protect her from her worst idiocies. No one will challenge her or ask her for more details, and if she starts digging a hole they will lead her out of it.

I see her appearances as being staged like campaign stump speeches. I’m sure both she and Fox would like to use this as a kind of political graduate school for her, so she can graduate to president.

Of course, given her track record she’ll go all diva and demand that she gets to do what she wants to do.

I suspect that will turn into another rant on the media, but this time it’ll be that “Even Fox is too leftist for the country’s own good!”.

Oh, and bup, of course there are. Its just at least one cowers in CS and refuses to go anywhere their deilcate world view can be challenged.

Yeah, there’s a pretty good chance she’ll go rogue on Fox. After all, God is her cohost.

Then I’m sure she’ll score a show on TBN. Home at last.

People who disagree with you? Yeah, we’re still around.

Is she shilling for gold, yet? Beck got busted, but that’s because he had an actual show.

Here’s my question:

Is the subject line of this thread:

a) Deliberate commentary;
b) Freudian slip;
c) Hilarious coincidence?

Yep…who is, if anything, a bigger kook than Palin could ever hope to be. He’s probably to the right of Beck.

I’m guessing a with a shot of d) what passes for “wit.”

I could make a living as a psychic, methinks. I predicted her leaving the governor’s position and going for the money by “writing” a book, then whoring herself out to Fox. The woman is about nothing if not public adoration and money. I can’t wait for Jon Stewart to roll his eyes heavenward and squeak “thank you!” at this news.

And yet, he has no left-wing equivalent on FNC, which I think was the point.

I kind of wish she had a regular schedule so I could plan to be drinking while she is on the air. As it is I might have to settle for some Daily Kos diarist dutifully compiling her segments into youtube videos. For some reason, lord knows why, you just can’t effectively drink to youtube.

I can’t get enough of this woman, even though I think she is a disaster, she has no level of competency at anything, and her voice causes my ear canals to sphincter shut. She is the Ruby Rhod of politics.

Well, hell. I have this fiddle, might as well burn it all down.

At least she’ll have to talk about something besides herself. I wonder if she can.

Sure. She can go on for hours aout what’s wrong with liberals.

The main thing she thinks is wrong with liberals is that they’re so mean to Sarah Palin.

I do, and I’m a died in wool loony liberal. The same people that put out Fox and Fiends also make American Dad. Fox has a pro-profit bias. The total lack of ethical standards might be signs of pro-douchebag bias, but deep down they don’t give a shit about politics.
