Meh. Who didn’t see this coming as soon as they learned about her resignation?
Well, the level of intelligent discourse on Fox is about to be raised by about 0.0000000001%.
Yeah, the onlyl suprise to me is that it didn’t happen sooner. I figured we’d hear about it within a month or so of her resignation. Lost my best with myself, dammit.
The positive part of this is that this probably will scuttle any “Palin in 2012!” talk, once she starts actually, you know, speaking.
Are you sure that’s a positive? From here, a fish-in-a-barrel race in 2012 looks pretty good.
I betcha (wink!) Fox News would love to have an ex-commentator in the White House. It seems like a massive conflict of interest to me, but I’m not quite sure why- I’d have the same problem with, say, Olbermann running for Prez.
Moved MPSIMS --> Cafe Society.
It’s all part of Fox’s plan for the press to become the government.
If she’s on Fox that means I won’t be seeing her again! Yay!
Shes never winning office again and probably never plans to. Her gig pays more than a real job. She’s essentially becoming the new Ann Coulter. A multimillion dollar contract for badmouthing liberal straw men. Its a pretty damn good gig if you can stomach all the evil.
This is true. I’ve not seen Huckleberry in some time.
Wow. This is the biggest surprise since Levi decided not to marry into the Palin family.
It’s fairly amusing reading the reactions on other, more right-wing forums. Most of them seem to be crowing about how this will infuriate the “loony left” (ie, everyone to the left of themselves)… whereas every liberal seems to be saying, “Huh. No big surprise, there.”
I don’t quite understand why Palin’s fans think we fear her. What’s to fear?
Is there anyone who still pretends that Fox doesn’t have a right-wing bias? I’m pretty sure I remember those people existing. Recently.
I take it you don’t watch The Daily Show then, because she’s guaranteed to be a semi-regular feature there. Clips are likely to show up on Letterman’s show as well.
Anyone who would seriously consider voting for Palin at this point is not going to be turned off by anything she says or the manner in which she says it now. (I mean anything she’s likely to say. Obviously if she declared her allegiance to Satan or started singing “Melt the Guns” or something, it could be a game-changer.)
I predict this will be a short-term success as the faithful gather to bask in her image and the faithless tune in hoping for a train wreck, but she’s bound to fail in the not-so-long run. Fox commentators may be liars and nutbags, but they know how to string words and ideas together in ways that can at least seem to represent actual thought. Sarah Palin does not appear to be able to do that. Aphorisms and snark can get her through carefully managed media events, but not day-after-day extemporaneous speaking.
As for the “inspirational tales” part of her job, I don’t think she’s ever shown an aptitude for that kind of feel-good stuff. She’s been most effective when going on the attack. There’s nothing warm and cuddly about this self-proclaimed pit bull.
So the fact that CNN has James Carville on the air means that CNN has a left-wing bias, correct? Or do you not wish to apply your…“logic” to anyone else?
Exactly, the worst thing you can do for your party is give one of your biggest dolts a frikkin’ soapbox. We don’t fear her, we laugh at her.
Sarah Palin signs with Fox News.
Mark McGwire was on steroids when he set the home run record.
And in other news, the sun rose in the East this morning.
There we go. I thought they were still around.
