Fox News fires Sarah Palin, hires Dennis Kucinich

Interesting post-election spinoff story. Washington Post story here.

I winder what this means long term, but I have no answers.

If only she had exit music

I would love to think this is an improvement, but…blech.

This is only a good thing if he brings Elizabeth on the show.

Fired or Quit? Can’t find either in the link.

It doesn’t specify, but since the link quotes her as complaining about her treatment, and having her interviews cancelled by Fox, I’m assuming they got rid of her. While she is a quitter, I don’t see her as jumping ship on the only media outlet that would give her a ‘pundit’ gig where she can say practically anything she wants.

I could be wrong, though.

What does this mean for my 2016 dream team of Bachmann/Palin Overdrive?

I always figured she’d get dumped after the 2012 elections.

Oh yes please.

Fox is interested in ratings.

Lord help me, the picture of Palin in the linked article makes me want to cream my pants. Based on appearance only, Sarah Palin is my vision of the perfect woman. Once her mouth opens (other than to, well you know…) the situation changes. Overall a horrible woman.

Kucinich is, whether you agree with his politics or not, an interesting and entertaining guy. I would watch him on Fox.

Camp Palin says Fox offered her a contract and she declined. But I heard stories prior that Fox was unhappy about her lack of draw for the million bucks they were paying her, far and over the other talking heads. I get the impression that they made her a much more modest offer this time around in keeping with her viewership draw and she turned that down. A mutually satisfactory separation (“They offered me $200k? I totally turned them down!” “Good thing she left 'cause she sure wasn’t worth over $200k…”)

I’m glad to see that her 15 minutes of fame are finally up. Now she can join Victoria Jackson in the ranks of D-list Teabagger celebrities in the darker corners of the blogosphere.

On another board, we were quivering in fear over the fate of the Universe should Victoria Jackson interview Sarah Palin. Bad things might happen.

People were also noting some of the freeper comments (I wouldn’t dare go to those places myself) decrying Fox News as “the RINO network” and “clearly shifting to the left”.

The less heard from that talking cow the better.

Jon Stewart must be crying over this.

I have to share this wonderfully delusional opening sentence from a Christian Science Monitor story:

“When the history of US politics in the early 21st century is written, two figures will stand out: Barack Obama and Sarah Palin.”

I figured that it had to be about the money. It’s always been about the money for $arah. God knows it couldn’t have been because she’s too stupid for Fox News.

Let me go Google that…
Elizabeth kuci…

HOLY MOLEY!

I think it was The Daily Show that some years back did a series on potential FLILFs, and interviewed her. It took her a few moments to figure out what that meant, but she was pretty amused by it, IIRC.

I guess it was a single story – Is America Ready for a FLILF?. Also, I misremembered that she got the meaning – she was responding to some other comment as clever, not the FLILF comment. Hey, but it was more than 5 years ago. :stuck_out_tongue:
