Far worse than being Mormon, they see Romney as a closeted Librul candidate, who will betray them because he’s not a True Believer.
That critique is a lot more logical than the heretic one.
I think Sarah should lobby for the Veep spot on the ticket again. Look how much fun we had the last time.
Obama should start getting worried.
You’re right in that she will not run, but I don’t think she would understand what you said
- she likely has no idea who Nader is, no idea that he ran for president, and not a clue that many think that he split the left vote in those elections.
Hey, there’s an idea: Someone can mention to her about Nader, and complain that it wasn’t fair that the left had two candidates, but the right only had one. The Real Americans deserve their chance at having two candidates, too!
I wasn’t aware that Palin was ever in.
I have a question about money raised before her campaign is official, one way or another (well, not just her).
While she was touring the country in the RV and not a stated candidate for anything, could she accept donations? Maybe she had an exploritory committee?
If so, and she did raise money, what happens to any unspent funds?
I’ve maintained from the very beginning that she wouldn’t run, so it’s no surprise whatsoever; glad to see that I’m still a decent judge of human motives and character. I don’t blame her: who would give up a lucrative living to face scathing press attacks and character assassination, however well deserved? Now if the money flow stops in the next four years, she could be back in some capacity to try to get it moving again.
That money is PAC money and therefore is hers to pretty much spend as she wishes. It has nothing to do with a campaign.
I think the relation to Christie is that it became apparent to anyone with money that lots of people were begging Christie to run while no one was running up to Alaska to see her. She is now a joke even in all but the most idiotic Republican circles.
Yep, Sarah Palin is such a quitter that she quit before she even started.
Wait … Sarah declared she would not run? My god, this is just the break the McCain camp has been waiting for!
Jon Stewart had the perfect metaphor tonight, likening what she’s been doing the past couple of months with her bus tour and her visiting early primary states and trying to upstage the other candidates, to someone showing up at a friend’s wedding wearing a wedding dress and then saying, “Hey, I’m only here to support fidelity.”
Dear God,
Prove you exist by making Sarah Palin fade into obscurity, and I will devote myself to your worship forevermore. Amen.
Sarah blew any political career when she quit as governor. Not that she had any anyway.
A couple rightys on this board actually thought the Dems were worried about her joining the race. She would have taken a shellacking. It would have been easy. She brings nothing to the race at all.
The Repubs don’t even know when to be embarrassed.
I don’t believe that she seriously considered it anyways. She can read the polls that showed her support to be anemic. Even though her supporters are faithful, they would still be split with Bachmann.
Why expose yourself and your family to criticism when you can fly around the country making bank on speaking appearances?
