She’s got the pulse of the voters, at least those who fondly remember Spiro Agnew.

The thing about Congress is, you have no administrative responsibilities, and nothing you have to do except maybe show up for most of the votes. You have a national platform from which to speak, and no-one can do anything about your presence except for the voters in your district, which frankly if they elect her in the first place, they are going to keep electing her. Because they’ll know exactly what they’re getting.
It must have been killing her to be sitting on the sidelines while wannabes like MTG take center stage with their brand of crazy. Of course she’s running, and she’ll probably win.
Never underestimate the idiot vote. Speaking as a native Alaskan I can tell you there is a significant percentage of the population there for whom “brain dead” would be a step up.
Perfect job for her. Just like silly Margorie, all she has to do is be a troll. Since she is Republican, she need not worry about advocating for any policies or even bothering to read about any issues. She can just criticize the other party without proposing anything. She’ll probably get in because she’s Republicans and Alaskans would elect a wet dog turd if it was shaped in the form of an R.
Pardon my ignorance of Alaskan politicians. I agree that she’s likely a shoo-in. But who, if anyone specific, would be her opponent?
Palin is at least sane. That puts her head and shoulders over many current GOP candidates.

As long as she can see Ucraine from her balcony, the sky is the limit. So many things are going to the dogs this days, why not add insult to stupidity, or Sarah Palin to Marjorie Soylent Greene?
And Marine LePen is going to win the French Presidential Elections (you read it here first! - and I wrote that in earnest!) so hell, yeah! What else could go wrong? Has anyone more suggestions for things to jynx?

Palin garnered a lot of ill will here in Alaska when she quit as governor. She and her family have been in the news in rather unsavory ways since then, but voters have short memories, and BobLibDem’s comment about wet dog turds definitely applies. I rather suspect she’s going to win.

She said you can see Russia from Alaska, which is true. The more quoted part is someone doing an excellent job of satirizing her on SNL.
She thought that the obscure trivia that a Russian island and a US island are within sight of each other gave her foreign policy gravitas. But compared to DJT, she’s a policy wonk.
