Panel Finds Palin Abused Power (Troopergate)

If the abusive trooper is a soon-to-be-ex brother-in-law then it means you have a personal stake in his termination, and benefit from him being fired. It stands to reason that if she didn’t have a personal gain in his termination she never would have pursued it in the first place, considering there are channels through which complaints of abuse are addressed.

To a more mundane point, IIRC, the disciplinary actions regarding Trooper Wooten had already been accompished, by the appropriate agencies. Of which, the governor’s office is not included.

And IIRC, there was some fear that firing wooten after the appropriate agencies said he shouldn’t would lead to a lawsuit for unfair termination.

A side note: I just read if you search for “Palin addresses AIP” (AIP = Alaska Independence Party) on YouTube, you’ll find 102 videos listed, but every one of them has been taken down. Apparently, you can see the empty spaces. Interesting. Seems she addressed them as early as this year.
