Papa John claims health care reform is too expensive

Good man. And good businessman. I Liked his page and Shared his post immediately.

I didn’t think it was possible for me to like Papa Murphy’s more than I do. Their pizza is the best! The Chicken Bacon with creamy garlic sauce - oh man, that is some good shit! Must have pizza . . . . [drool]

The name does mean a lot, though. For better or for worse, Papa Murphy’s gets noticed because everyone’s so used to Papa John’s that they do a doubletake at the different name and look more closely.

Decent pizza though, I quite like them.

I always feel a bit more righteous when I can boycott a product that I would never buy in the first place.

We pretty much stopped getting any delivery pizza when we realized there was a Papa Murphy’s by my office. Now I just pick one up on the way home while my wife pre-heats the oven, and it’s ready 15 minutes after I walk in the door. And way better than any delivery pizza we’ve ever had.

I always wondered where they got the crust.

I’m unfamiliar with a Papa John/Madonna thing. Link? I’d like to check it out.

Papa John Creach/Papa Don’t Preach

When they order Papa John’s at work, I tell them I’ll eat the box, they can eat the pizza.

I get the better end of the deal every time.

They make the box out of rat droppings, too.

That’s OK. The pop I drink with it has rat droppings on the lid.

And don’t forget, he has a First Amendment Right to say whatever he wants absolutely free of any consequences. If anyone tries to boycott him or criticize him for it, why they’re just trying to stomp all over his rights!

No, saliva contains millions of bacteria and any number of other diseases. The only way to derive satisfaction from spreading such disease is to hope that your customer gets sick.

So, how sick are we talking? Do we want to give them the flu? Do we want them to miss work for a week? Do we want to share something that we carry but are immune to, but will make their entire family sick? Do we want their kid to get infected, and then, perhaps, suffer complications?

Unfortunately we don’t get to pick the exact level of disease we give a person when we do things like this. And if we’re deliberately intending to make little kids sick, then not only do we not deserve a job, we don’t really deserve to be called human beings.

I know this is a serious response to a lighthearted comment. I totally get where you’re coming from. But potentially harming kids is beyond the pale, and I wanted to make it clear where I stand on “revenge” on cheap customers.

My revenge is knowing that they live a life so sad that a dollar could actually make or break their futures. I don’t need their money that badly.

The way I see it is if John Schnatter, a multimillionaire, thinks health care is too expensive, how does it appear to one of his employees that’s making minimum wage? Is Schnatter saying he can’t afford to pay for a health care plan but his employees could if they wanted to? Or is he just saying health care is expensive and poor people should just accept not having it?

And . . . this is why we can’t have nice things. It’s just so damn easy to spend other people’s money on stuff you want, until one day the country wakes up broke, with high unemployment, and with people marching in the streets against unavoidable austerity measures.

Aww, look guys! Randy’s back! I guess you had to sleep off the hangover from last week.

When the other guy has $30 million and I have $30,000…yeah, yeah it’s pretty fuck easy to spend their money instead of mine.

Healthcare seems like a nice thing.

So, you hire security to protect you, while you protect your money. And sooner or later, your security realizes that they are protecting your money, and they don’t need you to protect their money.

And you can’t have it! Because you tried to get it!
