Parental nightmare YouTuber Andrew Tate busted - and you won't believe by whom!

Yes, thank you!

Like.

He did? Where? All I see is @Acsenray mentioning those words, not using them. There’s a difference.

And for the record, I think it’s perfectly acceptable for anyone, male or female, overprivileged or underprivileged, famous or anonymous, to refer to Tate’s “small dick energy”, because he was the one who made it relevant in the first place. Again: If you don’t want to be judged by your dick energy, then don’t tell people to judge you by your dick energy.

…no there isn’t. The words were used as examples of “terms that have damaging implications” in a sentence. They were also mentioned in a sentence. The words were placed in a sentence. The words were featured in a sentence. The words had quote marks around them in a sentence.

Whom did @Acsenray say was a retard? If he were using the term, he would have to be using it of someone.

Or, alternately, if a teacher tells a student “Use the word ‘syzygy’ in a sentence”, and the student replies with the sentence “‘Syzygy’ is one of our vocabulary words.”, has the student done as the teacher asked?

…what on earth are you talking about?

This thread has gone very weird.

Agreed, it has definitely outlived its usefulness to me. Unsubscribed.

I checked out when it got the flavor of

Guy threatens to beat up girlfriend.
Girl says to cops “That prick threatened to beat me up”
Cops start discussing the appropriateness of gendered insults while insisting they don’t mean to minimize domestic violence.

Only no one here is even remotely comparable to a cop.

More than just “acceptable”, it was perfectly appropriate. Mature, rational adults - such as Greta Thunberg herself, I suspect - know that “dick energy” is not real, that the size of a man’s penis has bugger-all to do with his personality or capabilities. Entitled misogynistic manchildren like Andrew Tate think that it does. Thunberg was speaking to him in a language that he understood.

And that’s another reason I’m not particularly bothered by “small dick energy” - penis size is not something men are usually judged on. Yes, there’s a cultural trope that a small penis is risible, but how often are individual men mocked about it? It’s never happened to me, and - full disclosure - I’m a member of Team Teeny Weenie. But aside from my wife and my doctor, who’s going to know? Unlike breast size, a man’s penis size is not readily apparent. Men do get body-shamed, but on height, skin color, weight, baldness - things that are easily seen and judged.

(“Itty Bitty Titty Committee” made me laugh. I first heard it a few months ago, in an ad for a lingerie company specializing in bras for small-breasted women. Did some clever copywriter come up with that, or was it already a current phrase?)

Well, this was all worth it for ASWASD and Team Teeny Weenie. Thank you for your contributions.

I learned it in about 5th grade 55 years ago. Not new. Standard playground terminology.

And yet the thread certainly has that flavor.

What rubbish. Whatever topics might have been discussed here really have become a soup of nonsense at this point.

The discussion would have been fine in a different thread, but not one about a human trafficker who attacked a teenage girl. The thread was doing fine until this tangent took over.

True enough, but the self righteous hostility that took it from a mild tangent into a clusterfuck is not the fault of the poster who initiated the tangent.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think Andrew Tate has a small penis.

In fact, I’m sure many people like myself, upon seeing Andrew Tate, immediately think “Wow - what a massive prick!”.

But really, what more is there to say about Tate, right now? He’s in custody in Romania, and until more news comes out about his crimes and him, there’s nothing left to discuss about him. Everyone agrees he’s an amoral shit weasel who is deservedly in jail, and that Thunberg’s takedown of him was brilliant. Nothing wrong with letting the thread drift a bit, pending new developments.

I suspect that most people expend very little thought on the matter of his penis. Penises spend most of their time out of the way (except for the own-brain-governance thing) and are generally ignored outside of situations where they specifically come up.
