Paris Hilton is an idiot...again

Kimstu, I’ve heard, in some extreme cases, street pissers (ugh, yuck) have had to register as sex offenders.

Unless she has uromysitisis… But then she could have just shown her Public Urination Pass.

As to Paris Hilton herself, I think she used to be pretty when she was younger. Now though… I don’t think that so much.

:smack: BAH try that again:

As for Paris Hilton, I thought she was pretty when she was younger. Now, not so much.

It’s a quality of life crime not to have public bathrooms. I’m not swayed. I’m also not swayed that my pissing in the gutter reduces the quality of life in a world where corporations are allowed to spill chemicals into the rivers near their plants, or where one can find prozac and ibuprofen in the fish in the groundwater.

So in the end, despite the fact that you have some irrational fear about pissing and the dangers contained therein, I would like to remind you that my not CARING about your irrational fear is not the same as you being actually hurt by my behavior.

Good day,
Erek

Dude. This has nothing to do with any “irrational fear” about pissing.

This is simply pointing out the completely rational and documented fact, attested in the above-linked Cecil Adams article and in medical manuals, that not washing your hands after urinating is a factor in spreading disease.

When you piss in the street instead of in a restroom and then go about your other business with unwashed hands, that’s unsanitary. I don’t care if you don’t like to admit that. Them’s the facts.

Whether or not I happen to find it personally distasteful to see and smell urine in the public streets is irrelevant. (I do, but I don’t go around expecting my feelings about it to influence anyone else’s behavior, except maybe that of my lawmakers when I tell them I favor legally banning public urination.)

…which could be caused by pissing in the gutter among other things.

hey - something where my little corner of the world is relevant. I’ve had many discussions w/the folks who operate/manage the SOR site in my area, and according to them:

  1. In my state, one single criminal act of “public indecency” (ie naked ‘private parts’ in public, often occuring when one is pissing in public places for example) does not get you automatically on our sex offender registry. However, three events will (how they figure three and not two or four is beyond me…)

  2. However, that is not the same in all jurisdictions, she mentioned California (oddly enough) as one of the locations where a single act of ‘public indecency’ can get you there (how all those flashes of Paris’ ho-ha hasn’t been noticed is beyond me).

  3. That according to Federal law, if you are required to register as a sex offender in the jurisdiction in which you reside, then move to another jurisdiction, you are required to register as a sex offender in that jurisdiction regardless of the fact that the act you committed may not require registration in that jurisdiction.

so, for example, single act of naked penis in public = SOR in CA, then move to MI where it takes three to require registration, you will be required to register in MI. Have consensual sex with 17 in state where age of consent is 18, you’ll need to register as a SO there, move to MI where age of consent is 16, sorry, still need to register.

What about the stench? Once urine soaks into the concrete enough, it’s gonna stink to high heaven.

Animals piss on the ground constantly, it gets filtered through the ground. I’m merely pointing out the filth of modern society that we live in that is a byproduct of our “sanitary” culture. I’d rather drink trace amounts of Urine than prozac personally. I got prescribed prozac, and it made me feel awful. Also the drinking water in New York comes from upstate. I wouldn’t mind everyone in the country pissed in the ocean, because it’s about CONCENTRATION, not the actual substance. So if we spread it out more it would be less of a problem. However, our current methods of waste dispersal is extremely concentrated, and that’s what makes it toxic waste. Pissing on the ground is perfectly natural and the eco-system is very capable of handling it.

Anyway, if you guys wanna lobby for public restrooms so that a function every human being needs to get taken care of is easier to take care of, I promise I’ll stop pissing in the gutter. It’s not like I do it constantly. Just when it’s the only convenient option.

Until human decency is brought back as a cultural value, I’m not gonna be swayed by arguments that say my behavior increases the chances of me spreading disease by some phenomenally low percentage.

Every time someone sneezes into their hand, and then touch a doorhandle they are spreading far more disease than if they’d just sneezed into the air. It’s ironic how we are socially conditioned to do all these pointless tasks that add small amounts of effort to our day to day existence, that are meant to make us healthier, but don’t truly accomplish those things.

If your immune system is so weak that touching someone’s hands after them pissing makes you sick, then you should probably be culled from the gene pool, so that you don’t pass that weakness on to the next generation.

Erek

I assume you don’t want to know anything about water tables…

Please, expound upon this.

Makes what toxic waste? Do you even know what toxic waste is?

So is crapping in that water. Try drinking straight from a mountain stream. Don’t mind the e. coli.

What a bold, all-inclusive statement. And at times incorrect.

Really? I should have you shake hands with some of the folks I met when I volunteered in the UC Davis Medical center.

Which needs drywall.
