Parkinson's

Has anyone had any experience with COQ10 or other supplements/antioxidants for slowing the progression of this disease?

Many studies have been done that seem to indicate the effectiveness of high doses COQ10.

How quickly did your doctor place you on medicines?
Newly diagnosed, not doing the denial game but feel that it is to easy for most doctors to group the symptoms into a group cluster without considering other like-symptom diseases. How strange a group of brain diseases that have the smartest brains in the world scratching there heads, but they can assure us this is what you have.

I think I made the mistake of going to a major University group of doctors and was attacked as their newest prospect for their national product study … instead of being treated like a patient needing guidance/treatment. I also have to consider the fact that these doctor’s groups and studies gain financially from drug company sponsorship? You may get useful drugs or you may be the group getting the placebo … no useful help, just delayed treatment for your serious illness.

Sorry about the rambling …

Thanks for your input !!!

My GP suggested that I take COQ10 to help with mobility and flexibility. It didn’t seem to do much. I hadn’t heard that it had been recommended for slowing the progression of the disease.
