Forgot the best Ron scene of the night:
“The key to burning an ex-wife effigy is to dip it in paraffin wax and then toss the flaming bottle of isopropyl alcohol from a safe distance. Do not stand too close when you light an ex-wife effigy.”
I don’t get what in the hell people love so much about Parks & Rec. I’ve seen plenty of episodes, and they were all painful to watch.
I do love me some 30 Rock though.
It wasn’t until I read a couple of replies that I realized Happy Endings was a TV show…
How do you think it’s “painful”? I would say it’s much less painful than, for instance, the Office. Did you watch episodes after the first season?
Agree Community + 30 Rock > Parks and Rec, though the latter is still decent enough that I watch it (unlike the Office, which I’ve given up on).
Anyone still watching Outsourced? Its about even with Parks and Rec for me, but it doesn’t sound like its fated for another season.
I’ve come to like it. Lately I’ve found it more entertaining than 30 Rock.
Yes, I watched a couple of season 2 episodes, including some recommend by dopers as making me an instant fan.
The show is painful because not only is it not funny, it’s DULL. Dull as a show called “Parks & Recreation” would be expected to be. Even Seinfeld got more jokes out of that dept. I can’t stand anything Amy Poehler’s ever done (although she is more low-key in this than in most stuff), Rashida Jones is simply just gorgeous eye candy with no character, that Indian guy is trying WAY WAY too hard, and that manager with a mustache…why does everyone keep saying he’s the FUNNIEST of the bunch, when he’s never said anything remotely interesting OR clever, unless “government sucks” is supposed to be funny?
Oh yeah, I did like the episode with that Tina Fey lookalike from Party Down. But then it turned out she was a 1 shot deal.
I kinda like Outsourced. I find Gupta annoying, but the rest of the show is okay.
I don’t care for Outsourced but the Indian gal with the English sounding (real) name is quite attractive.
