Parks & Rec returns tonight

Just sayin’

Cool.

It was good. Ron driving away with the BBQ still attached to his truck was hilarious.

Great episode and Tom (the Pig) looked delicious!

I have this bad habit of attempting to find logic in sitcom plots, and so I wondered why Leslie would travel to Washington to request a grant to clean up the Pawnee River instead of just organizing volunteers to do so. That’s exactly the sort of thing that environmental groups organize around Earth Day, and they can usually get enough volunteers.

Ben Wyatt’s butt.

He sure did.

Poor Tom! I’d barely be able to lick my fingers because of the grief. My sorrow would be so great I doubt I could finish off more than 6 or 7 ribs.

That was LIT-erally the best episode of Parks and Rec I have ever seen broadcast. (Since my wife and I just watched the previous seasons on DVD.)
I really like the balance that this show strikes between humor and emotion. It doesn’t sacrifice character for big laughs the way that a lot of other shows (even ones that I enjoy) do, but is still consistently laugh out loud funny.

“Amalgam”.

The way Ron stared down Jerry before denying him corn was great.

I loved how Chris was at first excited by seeing Tom the Pig and saying how cute he was, then his face dropped when he realized that Tom was there.

The callback to John McCain’s Saturday Night Live appearance made me chuckle.

“Look, a handgun! I call it!”
