Party III

Hey, I’m kind of bored. Any wild and crazy women here interested in engaging in some violence and bloodletting? I can promise some ectasy to any who go crazy (and I don’t mean the drug  )

Sorry, I’m more of a theater person myself. You wouldn’t happen to have a favorite genre, would you?

The Classics
Kat: I’m digging this question – who’s *your * favorite Batman villain?
Catwoman, of course. Us crazy cat ladies have to stick together.

Although Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn are near the top of the list. And the Joker, of course.
Oh, and I’m going to use one of my guesses…

PriceGuy must answer questions with another question.
And the Hosts put up a full count, going 3-2 on dotchan’s guess far outside the strike zone.*

*Diomedes is currently watching the Cleveland game. He may be utilizing baseball analogies for the next three hours or so.

What a coincidence, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn are my favorites too. Perhaps we could discuss this over a glass of wine?

Wine? What did you say? Oh, yes, wine: chiefly useful as the stuff you make cognac out of.

I don’t speak baseball. Is she right or wrong? (Seriously, I don’t know.)

Blasphemer! Do you expect ducking and running to save you from the inevitable drought? All I’m saying is be very careful when taking your progeny out woodchopping. I’d hate to see any accidents out there.
(I’m pretty sure Diomedes is saying Dotchan was wrong)

Perhaps we could, wine guy. I don’t know much about wine. What goes good with the taste of chocolate? Merlot?

Sorry. She’s wrong.

Stout.

maybe a nice retsina, perhaps from the Aegean Islands region?
(I, unquirked, know nothing about wine - take any wine suggestions I make with a grain of salt. See - wine with salt would taste terrible)
Stout.
Kat, we’ve been hitting it off, wouldn’t you say? would you do me a teensy weensy favor and tear OneCentStamp to pieces? Thanks.

That would be such a pointless waste, though. Even if it is just one thin penny that you’re losing.
So, Taber, do you feel a special affinity for the vine?

(Host notes: His last post about humors and being smited seems to suggest that he’s Dionysus, god of wine…but obviously I need to poke at him more.)
Anyone see a reason we shouldn’t make this an official guess?

Because I’m now so used to the Firefly Mafia filters: confound! shakes fist

I haven’t gotten a better read on the other players at all.

(To recap, the current non-official guesses, adding a few from reread:
*Malacandra - I’ve reread him, and he sounds more like some sort of fictional adventurer in the vein of Victorian era (except the mention of Prince Harry places him in the present)
*Taber - one (or more) of the Greek gods, especially Dionysis, god of wine
*Diggitcamara - inexperienced traveling salesman
*fachverwirrt - might be quoting from movies and/or stage plays? (I’m going to be busy rereading the Conspiracy Mafia tonight, would one of you other hosts mind googling the contents of his posts so far?)
*Eureka - misuses homonyms.
*fluiddrid - quotes from product labels.

Incorrect guesses:
*Kat must include the name of another Doper in her posts
*PriceGuy must answer questions with another question

Diomedes, I believe Aesiron has yet to post in this thread at all. Would you mind prodding him for me?)

This wasn’t wrong, just incomplete.

Vere is dat knave?

Guys, I just got an important phone call, but I can’t make out to its for… Any ideas?
