PASS Summit 2010 In Seattle

There are a lot of IT people here, so I hope this thread doesn’t drop like lead balloon.

So, for you SQL Server people out there. We’re right around the corner from the Professional Association of SQL Server (PASS) Summit in Seattle.

Is anyone going? Maybe we can have a mini-doper meeting there. My company is sending me; and I’m really looking forward to it. There is no traditional SQL Server training that is really any good for me at my current experience level. It will be nice to meet up with the authors of many of technical books I own; plus all the presentations.

So… by chance is anyone else going?

Yes, I am attending. I am flying in Monday afternoon and back out on Friday morning, but I will be there most of the week. Perhaps a Doper table during one of the lunch breaks is in order.

I guess it can be a cocktail table since it’s apparently just the two of us. :frowning:
To be honest, that’s one more than I thought it’d be.

I see you’re from Michigan… I might actually be able to play euchre with someone. No one down here in GA knows how to play!

…They don’t have colleges in GA?

I’m sure we can round up a few more Michiganders if it comes to that. I am looking forward to the Gameworks event…

SqlServerCentral . com is hosting a party too…

Yeah, and all they seem to know how to play is Spades and Hearts.

Tell me about the Gameworks event.

Let’s try that link again. The one above is for the 2007 party. This is the link for the 2010 Party.

It will be on your schedule, and they will mention it in the Keynotes, I am sure, but I beleive Tuesday or Wednesday evening, Microsoft rents out the Gameworks facility and hands out cards so you can play a bunch of games, and they have free food and drinks.

PM me when we get closer to the event. I am a PASS Chapter Leader so I have been a few times, and I am familiar with the Seattle facility.
