The extra punchline I add to that joke is:
St Peter said, “God doesn’t like being told how She’s supposed to run things.”
I saw a comedy bit with the guy who does Mr. Bean. He was playing Satan in Hell and was rounding people up like a teacher in the schoolyard. I can’t remember much of it but the one line I liked was “Um… Christians… over here please. I’m sorry, the Jews were right”.
I used to watch it while waiting for my cartoons to come on when I was little. I didn’t know WHAT he was talking about, I thought it was just some news program by some boring guy.

Actually I believe he said the Mormons had it right. But anyway, it was a good sketch 
The Mormons thing was from a South Park episode. This guy with a clipboard says in an offhand way “Mormoms. Mormons was the correct answer”. The next scene is a group of Mormons in heaven.

I don’t know about the Atkinson sketch.
Scene: The Vatican
A Cardinal runs excitedly into the Pope’s chambers.
“Your Excellency, I have good news and bad news.”
“OK, what’s the good news?”
“Jesus Christ has returned to Earth!”
“That’s wonderful! This is the greatest event in all history! What could possibly be the bad news?”
“Well, He’s in Salt Lake City!”
