This nut jub of a political hack is[“justifying”](http://www.canadianactionparty.ca/MainPages/MessageBoard.asp?Topic=108&Lan
guage=English) the political spam his party sent out…

lovely…just lovely

You know, maybe if the real media outlets covered parties other than the five biggies from time to time - seriously, as opposed to oh isn’t that cute - Mr. Hellyer’s party wouldn’t want or need to send out spam.

Good lord. He not only sent out mass emails, but hacked into foreign servers to do it? Damn.

And this was my intelligent contribution. To bed I go.

Actually, I think that people are far less annoyed about the spam itself than the fact that the CAP or its underlings hacked into foreign mail servers in order to send the mail.

Being from south of the border, I didn’t receive one myself, but I would think that the theft of services and fraud inherent in using a foreign mailserver, without their permission (particularly one from a foreign government) would be quite enough to put me off the CAP. And even in the unlikely event that it wasn’t, reading the assorted idiotic replies and defenses from the supporters would be enought to give me pause.

For a party that seems to base a large part of their ‘platform’ on the idea that their country is selling itself out from under them, they have an awfully loose idea about expropriating other people’s property.

I would suspect that this particular spam run probably violated the AUP of their service provider, Look Communications / IDirect of Toronto.

I can’t imagine that violating contractual agreements before you’re even in office is an endearing quality either…

Actually, I think the opposite. Why the media bothers with any party that has less than 10% of the vote is beyond me.
