Paul McCartneys' hair piece

I’ve heard that Paul McCartney wears a rug, which wouldn’t surprise me seeing he’s 62.
But can anyone confirm this, or better yet, supply any pics of him without his piece? It would be a hoot because, with it he looks better at 62 than some of my friends do at 45!:stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve wondered that myself. Either that or he’s really into the Grecian Formula.

C’mon, age gracefully, you crazy Beatle!

Paul McCartney does not wear a rug.

I have an obsessive number of pictures and movies and documentaries. It would be very obvious if his hair ever started thinning.

Before you get pist, understand that I am a HUGE fan of JPM, especially his PBW, but I read in a respectable(:p) newspaper that he wore a headrag.

It would explain a few things, i.e., NOBODY usually looks that good at that age!!

He is just one of those folks whose real hair looks unreal. Sometimes Kurt Russell’s mane strikes me as the fakest looking real hair imaginable. There are others as well.

Heh, I’m not going to get pissed. Hmmm, maybe I’ve been coming across a little more crazy recently then I really am…

I know his hair doesn’t always look real, but well, people swore he was wearing a wig in 1964 too. The more things change and all that…

I heard that he sacrificed John and George to maintain his youth and Ringo is next.

That or he’s drinking Dick Clark’s blood.

Actually, ten years ago his hair looked VERY grey, and I recall him telling an interviewer that he HAD been touching it up for a few years, but finally decided “What’s the point, none of us are getting any younger,” and stopped.

Lately his hair looks a lot darker. So, while I don’t think he’s wearing a hairpiece, I DO think he’s gone back to dying his hair, for some reason.

^^^Lately he married a woman half his age as well  Hell, I would touch up my gray for that reason. In fact, I let a recent 28-year-old GF (I’m 40) darken my very salt and pepper beard.

Sir Rhosis

I have mixed feelings about that. She didn’t make beard removal an issue but wanted it darkened? That’s another topic.

^^^It was no biggie–we did it as a lark, but I certainly can understand if Sir Paul feels a bit “old” around his wife, and vainly, understandably, wants to look younger and dyes his hair.

We’re all human, even those who have 244449886574744 trillion dollars.

Sir Rhosis

He’s due to start losing his hair when he’s sixty four.

Yes, but that’s many years from now.

Will Heather still love or need him, though?

Sir Rhosis

I think Heather is his wife’s name…

Well, one and a half…

If you take a gander at a recent candid photo of Sir Paul, you’ll realize that he doesn’t actually look all that amazing. Not that he looks bad, mind you; he just looks like a man of 62: wrinkles around the eyes and mouth, jowls becoming more pronounced, skin that has lost the tightness and luster of youth. I will say he does seem pretty fit; perhaps eating veggie helps him keep his weight down. But I think the dye job acts as a sort of tonsorial Jedi mind trick, leading the unwary to believe Paul McCartney looks younger than he actually does.

(BTW and AFAIK, McCartney does not wear a rug. He does, however, have a false front tooth.)

Very enlightening. It definitely looks like he’s coloring his hair.

FWIW, my dad, who is 64, still has a pretty good hair line, and doesn’t really have too much grey. (And as his son, I find these facts very encouraging  ) So it’s not at all unreasonable for McCartney’s hair to be real. But that color sure as heck is coming out of a bottle.

That’s * need him & feed him.*

Yours sincerely,

Wasting Away

Wife & daughter. Angela was the name of his late stepmother and ex-SIL, and double Pauls, Marys and Janes show up in his family line.

I’ve always found that very weird.
