Paying for "The Curse of the Babe" with the Blood of the Moon

Although it might be cloudy tonight in St. Louis, there will be chances that the people at the game (as well as throughout North and South America) will see the lunar eclipse tonight. If the Sox win tonight, this could very well be one of the most memorable astronomical/sports event ever recorded, OR it could very well signal the beginning of the end of the Red Sox World Series run if the Cardinals turn around and take the next four games to win. I’m not a superstitious person, but whatever happens, it just seems too damn eerie and will be noted as so in US sports history. Anyways, mid-eclipse is 10:04pm CDT which could be late in the game, or even could conclude at that time. This would be a very memorable way to end the much fabled “curse” of the Babe. Any other coinkydinks?

Just thought I would point that out. I did a search before I posted this and found nothing as of yet, but if there is another thread already started, I apologize.

I knew there was going to be an eclipse. but hadn’t gotten around to looking up the specific times. Thanks for the link!

And as a long-time BoSox watcher, I refuse to comment on any possible correlations. Refues, I say.

I say it fine, I just can’t type it.

my theory is that it is " the curse of the splinter." boston lost the world series for the first time with williams playing. no win while williams lived. williams has passed.

now we have:

boston on the verge
a lead off home run
the moon getting eclipsed
hurricanes galore in florida (where williams lived)
earthquakes in ca and japan
volcano going off in wa

i just hope a boston miracle doesn’t cause the new madrid fault to stir .

watch out for flying pigs.
