It’s so subtle. I never even noticed it until I saw it pointed out in an article somewhere. Now I can’t stop watching it.
I would go so far as to say one of the most realistic CG animals of any type.
I hope that there will be a second season. I like the way the relationships between the characters have developed so far. I can see Peacemaker and Adebayo having a real friendship. I can also see Peacemaker as some sort of cautionary role model for Harcourt, since she is basically headed down his path…
Im up to ep 4 now and he comes into his own more. His scene in the prison was awesome.
Yeah, I love how awkward it is. The same joke was used to similar effect in one season’s opening credits for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Rebecca Bunch’s head pops through a banner, she says “blam”, and then she just stares at the camera for a teeny bit too long.
Overall, this show is great. Wonderful mix of comedy, actual characters, suspense, action, etc.
I freakin’ love that Eagly checks his mark and adjusts during the intro. That’s the sign of a true professional.
This show is good evidence that any character could flourish with the right production team behind it.
If they are doing the trope of ‘our protagonists have been manipulated to find themselves on the wrong side of things’ AGAIN…Im going to be disappointed. Its been so many times recently.
I’m kind of hoping that there is no “wrong” side to the butterflies. That is, sure there are clearly factions in the butterfly society, but just because Butterfly A hates Butterfly B, that doesn’t mean Butterfly A has humanity’s best interests at heart.
It’d be cool if it turned out that none of the Butterflies actually gave a crap about humanity at all, we were just in the way, and occasionally useful, but ultimately irrelevant to any of their plans.
By the way, the voice actor for Eagly is the guy who did Perry the Platypus.
I love how this show makes a genuine heart-felt moment out of…
Economos killing a freakin gorilla with a freakin chainsaw!
I just watched episode 6, and man did the shit hit the fan. So much good stuff in this episode. Including a theory I had about the butterflies.
That they have vaginas?
Really enjoyed this episode. John Cena sadly playing the piano at the end was… surprisingly moving. Also glad to see more Rizwan Manji, who I think has fantastic comedic timing.
The inevitable clash of Our Heroes vs. Nazis vs. Aliens is going to be interesting. I’m not really expecting it, but I hope to hell they don’t try to redeem or normalize the Nazis by making them heroic (or anti-heroic) alien killers.
Just saw this an hour ago. It was a trip. Who is the heavy woman? She is really good
Thanks!
No, that there was a ‘resistance’.
Yeah, for a guy who’s 85% a piece of shit, they’re actually making his position kind of understandable. I also liked the scene when he found out the team leader is a butterfly. He has a point: They all think he’s the asshole, but they’re the ones keeping all these mission-critical secrets, and then blaming him when this contributes to his screw-ups.
And it was actually him playing.
I wondered about that. Usually when you can’t see clearly whether an actor is playing, then it’s faked.
