Peak Hours (Don't use SDMB?)

I’ve noticed that, from my vantage point, this board is at it’s busiest weekdays between 5pm and 7pm EST.

So, I’ve stopped logging in during that period. It seems the least I can do considering this board is hosted for free by the Chicago Reader.

I’m sure a lot of Dopers would refrain from posting during certain “peak” hours if they were aware of when the servers were taking the heaviest hits.

So howz about some guidelines? I’m sure we can all work together to keep things moving smoothly.

Lunchtime in North America is a clog point, but I’ve also noticed a lesser, but still perceptible, slowing when our Ozzies and Yurpians are in the midst of their daily stirrings.
