Peanutbutter Sandwiches

I only recently decided that I like jam, but I still don’t like it w/ peanut butter. Don’t like jelly, either. I loooove peanut butter & honey, though. I also did pb & cinnamon & sugar, which is nummers. I really liked adding Cheerios to my sammiches. Makes 'em crunchy, which was great when I had braces and wasn’t s’posed to have crunchy peanut butter. I also did peanut butter & Cheerios & honey on tortillas, which was really messy and therefore much more fun and much tastier. The Cheerios work best with honey and not cinnamon & sugar – the second piece of bread doesn’t really have anything to stick to w/o the honey.

FTR, my younger brother would eat only pb&j, while I would not eat pb&j… my poor mother, it’s the story of her life.

Darn tootin’ it is. Here’s the deal:

If you’ve a Cracker Barrel™ restaurant in your vercinity, hie theeself there and buy a jar of their house brand apple butter. Why? Simply because it’s the only commercially available brand that approaches the taste of my momma’s home-made apple butter. And that stuff, crunchy JIF™ PB slathered over soft white bread will instantly transport me back to childhood days of summer vacation, sitting out on the front porch. Add a tall glass of cold milk and one of momma’s home-made chocky-chip cookies, and you’ll lose me for an entire afternoon.

Why, I had a PB & AB sammidge for lunch today. Washed down with a cold Dr. Pepper an’ a fudge round. Nummy…

I forgot to mention peanut butter and cinnamon on bread (or toast). I haven’t tried it in sandwich form, I usually spread the peanut butter on a piece of bread, toast, or half a bagel, and sprinkle the cinnamon on top. That way, I can turn it upside-down and eat it with the cinnamon directly on my tongue to increase the cinnamon-yummitude.
