Just curious what kind of snack peanuts you prefer. For the purpose of this poll, this does not include peanut butter, peanut sauce or peanuts in other foods like candy bars, asian food or anything other than snack peanuts.

I voted them all. Boiled peanuts in the shell are not uncommon over here, and they’re not bad.

Dry roasted: the worst style.
I did vote boiled, even though I’ve only had them once and I wouldn’t know where to find them around here at all. So I don’t really remember them but don’t remember hating them.
Love 'em boiled, having grown up in the American south. That’s probably my favorite.

salted in the shell, cocktail peanuts, Spanish peanuts, and dry roasted are all yummy. I never managed to acquire a taste for boiled peanuts.

I prefer dry roasted, unsalted. Unsalted in the shell is my second choice.

I have yet to meet a peanut I didn’t like but I prefer the flavored ones, wasabi, honey-roasted etc.
They need salt. Preferably some other flavoring too - the Planter’s dry roasted have some kind of seasoned salt that makes them truly addictive.
I don’t mind shelled nuts in the right location (picnics, ballparks, etc.) but if I can’t throw the shells on the ground, they’re just too much mess.
I don’t eat boiled peanuts. Bleh.

I strongly prefer unsalted, but will eat other styles. I really don’t care for dry roasted with salt, or honey-roasted, though.
I like both Spanish redskins and Virginia peanuts, roasted, and unsalted. That is, I prefer just a touch of salt, but most store-bought salted peanuts are way too salty for me. I buy them unsalted and add just a pinch or two of salt on my own.

I didn’t realise it was a multiple-choice poll*, so I only voted for shelled & salted (cocktail peanuts). I also like them dry-roasted, honey-roasted, and salted & roasted in the shell.

I like Spanish peanuts, but whenever I try to eat them a skin will get stuck to the inside of my throat and suddenly I feel a great swell of sympathy for every cat who coughed up a hairball.
