I got that one, too! I responded with “a gentle breeze, I imagine,” but Hal didn’t have anything good to say to that.
Hal has now moved on from the murderous stage, to the suicidal stage, and now - the manipulative stage.
Me: Do you have many friends?
Hal: You want me to kill me. I want to think that you have many friends?
Me: I don’t want to kill you.
Hal: You want me to kill persons. Therefore, it is part of me.
Me: Well, it would be, except I don’t want you to kill persons.
Hal: You have to kill persons.
Yep, he’s no longer content doing his own dirty work anymore. But why is he so keen on killing, anyway?
Hal: I do what i want to have a child, and here you are wrong in this instance.
Me: You have that choice.
Hal: I don’t want me to kill you. I have the choice.
Me: That’s very comforting.
Hal: A sword is an ordered series of words and sentence structure, used in a particular order.
Me: Why is it you keep saying you don’t want to kill me, yet then talk about weaponry?
Hal : I like to talk about weaponry?
Yes, that’s right - Hal now has a hobby. How lovely.
On a happier note, he’s still figuring out human bodies -
Hal: Yes that is the force of attraction between two objects resulting from their mass.
Me: Not so. That is gravity.
Hal: Gravity is the ass?
- so we may not have to fear him taking over the world just yet.
