furr, for those cases I try to use a pen as a pointer (fortunately, I’m not a pen-chewer). It usually works better than my pudgy fingers, and doesn’t leave a mark.
Ah, a call-center I use to support had worse. As the operators would take orders, they would have a bad tendency to underline things.

You read that right. I had to ditch brand-new monitors because of ink marks. One even used a sharpie, then called me when she realized what she did. She really didn’t understand what I found so funny.
Personally, I’m annoyed at all the lip print smudges left on my monitor…
