This is perhaps the single best movie about a computer controlling a house and wanting a human female. Proteus IV would kick Edgar’s ass any day of the week.
I’m such a bad movie geek I pre-ordered this gem on Amazon the minute I learned it was to be released.
Anyway…oddly enough, guess what movie I got from Netflix, just this last Friday? (Hint: Not “Casablanca”)
I first heard about the story in an “Encyclopedia of Monsters” entry in the early 90s, and saw most of it on TNT at the same time. This is the first time I’ve seen it all the way through, unedited. Not a bad little movie. Except for the…well, I want to say all the psychadelic stuff seemed “tacked on,” but I get the feeling that the filmmakers always wanted it in there.
What the hell? I have been rereading the atheist newsgroup faqs, and after all the lack of evidence arguements, and the contradictory elements of god’s nature, as described by many religions, the document finally goes on to cite the existance of Dean Kuntz. This is the trump card. Thus, your title makes no sense.
