I like it so far. I do think it has improved significantly from the pilot. Hopefully it lasts!
I’ve watched the first 2 episodes and I have the rest on my DVR. I’m enjoying it so far and will keep watching.
Man, I loved New Amsterdam. I thought it was doing well. Then-- nothing. Hubby really enjoys Person of Interest, so it’s most likely gonna hang around.
I like it, Hubby LOVES it…
Yes, I’m still watching. I can’t keep my eyes of Caveziel when he’s on screen. Subsequent episodes are definitely better than the pilot.
I tuned in because of Emerson, who was fantastic in Lost, and now also because of Caveziel, whom I’ve never seen before in anything.
I recognized the name only because of the flap over the movie he was in about Christ a while back. So far, the show continues to hold my interest.
This week apparently concerns a romantic interest for the Caviezel character, which strikes me as utterly unnecessary and implausible. One of the things that makes these characters compelling is their utter personal isolation from other people. They shouldn’t go screwing with that already.
According to the pilot, part of the reason he is so anti-social is because he lost the love of his life. Besides, it may give them an opportunity to show him shirtless.
Like last week. His “What’s good on the menu” attempt at subtlety is played exactly the same as the “OMFG! I don’t care whose number it is! We’re rescuing the Fing kid even if it harelips everyone on Bear Creek!” I find it one-dimensional. I only like it because it’s the closest thing I’ve seen to The Equalizer.
In the middle of today’s (10/27) episode. I swear, if he “shows feelings” for her and she dies, I’m gonna be mad.
A re-occurring bad-ass would be cool.
I get the feeling that your wish about the recurring bad-ass will come true. I still enjoy the show. News: it’s going to have a full season: http://www.boomtron.com/2011/10/person-of-interest-gets-full-season/
Who was the brunette playing Ms. Morgan the whistleblower on the 10/27 episode?
Irene Adler played Zoe Morgan (I think). Now, can anyone tell me who played the femme fatale? It’s driving me nuts.
Paige Turco.
I was mistaken. Paige Turco is the woman I was admiring.
I liked the latest episode. I think it was the best one so far.
I especially liked that they started off with the operation already in progress, rather than the “the machine gave us another number” bit.
That’s the one! Thanks! I liked her character - I think she might be a good foil for Reese.
Looks like that police detective’s number is going to come up real soon, since she saw (and apparently wounded) the retired cop’s killer. I look forward to that episode. Will she arrest JC after he saves her life, or will she start helping him?
This show has been picked up for the entire season.
I think even if they help the detective, she’ll still try to go after them. This type of show usually has some kind of opponent, although the opponent may be a good person, like The Fugitive (the series) with Inspector Gerard.
Also, it’s possible they’ll manage to help her without her finding out about it.
This conversation confused me. Just to set things straighter - please correct where I am wrong. The fixer/femme fatale in the last episode who had good rapport with Reese is named Zoe Morgan. She is portrayed by Paige Turco. Zoe Morgan might be similar to the Sherlock Holmes love interest Irene Adler (according to the AV Club, at least.), but she is not portrayed by an actress of that name. I guess the whistle blower character is? That makes that AV article funny, since the writer doesn’t mention the coincidence.
I’ve been enjoying the show. I think when they start getting deeper into multi episode arcs it will be more enjoyable. Like, that guy the police detecitve shot. He should be a good nemesis. Reese is already ticked off at him for taking out all of the soldiers, so hunting him down from two sides might be interesting.
I’ve liked the trust that has slowly built up between Reese and Finch. And, I like the bits of backstory we have gotten about both of them, as well. I guess, eventually, we are going to get the full story as to what happened to Finch’s business partner.
