Has your vet mentioned Solensia shots? They’re monthly, kinda pricey (from my vet it’s a little over $100), but the help for arthritis is amazing! I have one ex-street-stray elder on it and the change it made in him was pretty much complete relief.

My poor kitty a week ago, after she had a shaved tummy for and ultrasound and then had 6 teeth pulled. Sulking, warming her belly in the sun now that she wasn’t as fuzzy.
As opposed to what she would have been doing if she had been properly fuzzy, which would be warming her belly in the sun.
Well, of course. I’ve shared pics upthread of her doing the same. But this time she’s doing while trying to guilt me. Oh wait, that’s all the time as well. Well, enjoy naked cat tummy then!

This is the newest addition to our family: Otto
He showed up one day at the auto dealership my niece works at. At first they were going to make him a company mascot, but he kept getting into cars and they were afraid he’d get trapped eventually. So my niece took him home. She already has a dog, and Otto and the dog got along fine until one day the dog snuck up on Otto and licked his butt. After that Otto wanted nothing to do with the dog. So my niece decided to find Otto a new home. And then to complicate matters, just as she decided this her apartment complex informed her that there would be an inspection two days from then. She hadn’t told them about Otto, so she needed him out of her apartment ASAP.
So, suckers that we are, my wife and I agreed to take Otto in and get him neutered and vaccinated, then we would find him a new home. Yeah, right… I think we knew deep down from the very beginning how this story would end.
We took him in four weeks ago. He got snipped five days later. This pic is from that night, he was still a little high from the anesthesia.
After we’d had him for about two weeks, we realized it was time to stop fooling ourselves. There wouldn’t be any re-homing.
As you can see, Otto has been having a rough time adjusting to his new home:

(and the pictures were slow to load, and I somehow assumed Otto was a dog, and was puzzled at why a dog would find a butt-lick to be so disconcerting)
My current dog licks all the cats’ butts. Most of them objected at first, but by now they all seem reconciled to it.
He’s obviously having trouble claiming every inch of it simultaneously. One cat just isn’t big enough, no matter how he stretches.
