well buddhist… they are vegeteran. the rest no one cares about because they are stupid and ugly and no one likes them
quadell,
On the other side? Nope, but I do think that PETA takes things out of context to create controversy.
I have said before that many organizations that work the way PETA does actually does the opposite intended.
I just noted the story, said I like meat that’s that
Just reread my post and I’m afraid it’s a little bit ambiguous.
1.) I’m not saying that I feel the way that I do just because the Bible says so. My opinion is my own because I’ve just given a lot of thought to the subject in the past.
2.) When I ask how anyone can argue against the Bible, what I’m actually asking is how can anyone say the Bible says anything anything else other than animals are meant for the service of man. Seems to me that the bible itself is actually very UNambiguous on the subject.
Wrong. Many buddhists are vegetarian, but most (that I know of) are not. The Japanese for instance eat meat, and many are Buddhists (Kobe Beef is a delicacy there). Thais are Buddhist and they too eat meat, as well as many of the Buddhist peoples in Asia.
Today, class, we show you how to mix your metaphors for humorous effect!
Feel free to correct me at any time. But don’t be surprised if I try to correct you.
GUILTY!
Jeez, I’m as red-faced as a cat in a room full of sofas!

A bit of a distortion there. If you read the actual Biblical passages, G-d says that the people in question deserve to die because of their sins, and because of that, the Israelites were being allowed to take over the land…with the provisio that if they sinned, they’d be thrown out as well.

Southern, no problem.
If you’re interested, it’s part of the chorus from the song “Packaged Rebellion” on Anthrax’s Sound of White Noise album.
I recommend reading the lyrics to that song. It’s all about people pretending to be rebellious and trying to “be different, like all my friends” and the eMpTyV culture.
If you say it, mean it. If you mean it, do it.
If you do it, live it. If you live it, say it.

JohnnyHarvard quoted:
Does that mean the Bible commands us to smoke pot as well as eat meat? (Just Kidding!)
And as for Buddhists, many are vegetarian, but not all. The Dali Lama isn’t, for instance. (Most Hindus are vegetarian though.)
