Pete Townsend Solo Tunes...

Can you name some solo hits of Peter Townsend? There’s one I’ve been hoping to hear again, but it doesn’t get much radio play so I’m not sure of the title. However, I believe the title is in the lyrics to the chorus. You just can’t trust those “cliche rock” stations. Oh, I’m sorry…is that supposed to be classic rock??? You could have fooled me…

I’ll start:

Let My Love Open the Door
Give Blood
Crashing By Design
A Friend is a Friend

Thanks

Are you thinking of Eminence Front? (It’s a Who song, but Townsend does the vocals.)

(“Shut up man, you sound like a bleeding motor boat!”)*

…you forgot Jules and Jim

Give Blood, a SuperGroup Extravaganza: Townsend, Dave Gilmour doing his “ricki ticki” thing, and Pino Pallidino, one of my very favorite bass players. Pino in fact was chosen to replace John on The Who tour when John died. He’s that talented. In fact, I used to think he was black, he was so smooth and rhythmic.

You do realize this thread is five years old, don’t you?

2002? Well, that explains why the op didn’t just go to wikipedia.
