I began a boycott of Channel 6 news several years ago. (It was the night they led off the broadcast with two stories – one about a kid on a tricycle who had someone run up to him and slap him on the ears – the other about a pregnant woman who miscarried after her boyfriend punched her in the stomach. The lead-off stories on the top-rated news show in the fifth-largest city in the country. Yikes).
Anyway, I’ve been boycotting Channel 6 news for several years, but I’d left the TV on this afternoon while I took a nap, and woke up to the middle of the broadcast, and was too groggy to grab the remote and change the channel immediately.
A promo featured Gary Papa – totally bald. WTF? Is this a fashion statement? Did he have cancer? What’s the story?
