In short, this “nonprofit” run by a 22-year-old CEO who has no healthcare training set up a vaccine clinic, overbooked people, and turned quite a few away - and said CEO allegedly took leftover doses home with him, or at least carried them out himself.
Any Philadelphia area Dopers who know more, wish to fill me in?
Yet another reason why people should not seek vaccinations at just any old pop-up location, I guess.
Short version- I live in Philly and yes it’s true. PFC also changed from a non profit to a for profit and many, including the head of Philly city council, fear that PFC will sell data it collected. I’d say more but I’ve been up since 5 AM for some reason and have no energy at the moment.
I have to believe he’s breaking some laws somewhere - and if that’s the case, I hope that prosecutors don’t hesitate to book him ASAP.
I don’t know if state laws were broken but I was a fan of Josh Shapiro when I lived in PA and have no doubt he’s already on the case to see if he can prosecute this SOB. I’m guessing the DOJ is also going to take a look at this as well.
Having taken a brief nap and having read the article, this was not “any old pop-up location”. PFC was, at the time, an official partner of the Philadelphia city government.
Last I saw, Doroshin had gone from denying he took doses of the vaccine for friends to claiming that those doses were about to expire.
