I hope to add to this list.
Nacho is going to be unable to make it. I’m still heading up, tho.
What’s the time we are meeting? Noon, or 12:30?
I don’t want to be late, -or- standing around looking silly.
Oh, I just set myself up there…
Anniz has been sick all week, and today I took her to the hospital to get looked at.
She’s going to be okay, she has bronchitis, and an x-ray and a blood test revealed that otherwise she’s healthy, without pneumonia (as was feared). She’s got a prescription for antibiotics that’s being filled right now, and she just needs to take it easy for a few days.
So, we’re going to have to regrettably pass on this weekend’s festivities in Philly. I hope you all meet together without us, and have fun, too.
ACK!!!
I hope she feels better, Montfort. Give her my best wishes. hugs for you both
I may end up bowing out myself…my job has kicked my ASS this week, and suddenly a day off is looking pretty good. Of course, I may end up going in to work tomorrow anyway…
i hope you feel better soon, anniz.
work has knocked me out of the running. while y’all are enjoying steak sandwiches i’ll be lifting that load…toting that barge. uff da.
had to borrow a car (not for me, for epeepunk), but I’ll be there.
Lucky husband gets to drive my mom’s mercedes tomorrow (his car is in the shop, POOR HIM!)
This is assuming all works as planned. Kids, ya know.
See folks tomorrow (hopefully!). Do we have a set time? 12:30 would be better for me (I have a drive to get there), but I can do 12 if need be.
Well, I’m in the neighborhood anyway, so I’m still up for it if it looks like we’ll still have a turnout.
Sorry to hear about Anniz. Hope you feel better soon.
I’ll still be attending–4th and South, right?
Sorry but an unexpected situitation at home came up. I will have to skip this. I was looking so foward to seeing everyone.
Since this was WOO-HOO, twice the size of the last Philly Dopefest…
That is, there were four of us, counting my 3-yr-old son.
What, hey, the rain and wind drive the rest of you off? We waited in the cold and damp until 12:40…
And, boys and girls, you missed a real good time, Duke and Wonko can tell you - better than tv, better than booze, better than… okay, probably not better than sex (and sex is not a topic we’re bringing up with the 3-yr-old yet anyway). But it WAS in public, and there were lots of people watching and looking at us like we were insane (probably especially Duke, who got to be the most visible through the windows of the steak place). I’m sure some people thought it was performance art.
“Hold on, everyone, hold on! We’re going up in the rocket ship again!”
So sorry to have missed it–what with one thing and another I just wasn’t able to make it. I’m glad those of you who did make it had a good time, though–you don’t need a big crowd to have fun, as the 3 of us who made the New England Dopefest can attest.
Damn - I would have loved to have been there, guys.
How are the cheesesteaks?
Esprix
It wasn’t -just- a rocketship, it was a rocket-powered helicopter!
I think…
and a helicopter, and a rocket ship, and a boat, and then there was the time you mentioned ‘anchored’ (to the wall?) and suddenly we were under water, and he was climbing back up the anchor chain. Not to mention the little people being rescued from the faucet only to be EATEN! (very tasty!)
Cheesesteaks were good, Esprix, too bad you missed them.
And let me tell you, the rest of the day was a continuation of the same. Only we also ended up doing livestock (I was a cat, a dog, a chicken, and a horse), and vegetation (I was a tree). Oh, and you missed his other fave, skateboards. (You could have been riding imaginary skateboards down 4th!)
Much more of the same today.
I also got to be on the receiving end of a massive tantrum over … hmm, now what caused that one? Oh, yeah. No gummy bears for breakfast, followed by having to put his pants on before going to the store (am I a mean mommy, or what?). Apply all that creativity to getting his own way… One of these days, I’m gonna lose.
hedra, Gabriel taught me and Wonko something very important on Saturday. When the rocket ship takes off, hang on. Even if it’s just onto the windowsill of the cheesesteak place. Imaginary helicopters are fun, too.
What I wouldn’t give to be Gabriel’s age again and just dream about helicopters and rocket ships, instead of working on my blasted thesis. Actually, come to think of it, that’s about all I got done today on it.
Thanks for the great time. I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.
