Discussion over here shows interest in doing a Doper dinner – and no “no” votes yet for the 22nd. Good enough!
All we need to do is pick a location. I’ll throw out Pietro’s, on Walnut Street near Rittenhouse Square. Not the most authentic Italian place in town – by a long shot – but good pizza and they seem to take crowds in stride. (I’ve gone to the one on South Street with a dozen people, no warning, and it was fine.)
I’m not invested in that suggestion, though – anyone else have ideas for Center City?
I’ve never met anyone from the dope in person. It’s actually kind of an intimidating thought. But, I guess there’s a first time for everything. I’m in. Pietro’s sounds great to me.
I’ll be in town then, and the 22nd should work. No promises, as I can’t guarantee my parents won’t make plans for that night without consulting me (grumble). My only suggestions are for anyplace a vegetarian can get something to eat, and within walking distance of a PATCO station, as I’ll be coming in from that horrid place across the river.

Patco goes to 15th and Locust, and Pietro’s is at 18th and Walnut. If we order family-size salads and a bunch of pizzas, at least one of the pizzas can easily be vegetarian. (I’ll be lobbying for a white pizza with spinach and mushrooms, and I’m not even a vegetarian.)
Time – earlier probably a little better than later – 6:00, maybe?

That should work for me, time and location wise. Ditch the fungus and that pizza sounds delicious.
(Man, speaking of pizza and Philadelphia: Growing up as a pizza lover in the New York/Philly region spoils you. “Good” pizza out here in the wild west is…Domino’s.)

Did he also do the Krass Bros. Mens Store commercials? Now those were cheezy.
BTB, I’d really like to attend but I shan’t as it’s the day before Easter and I have some family stuff to do here at the shore.
MsRobyn said in the other thread she’d be up for it as well.
Day: Saturday March 22nd (definite)
Time: 6 PM? (register any “no” votes ASAP)
Place: Pietro’s, 1714 Walnut Street, Phila. (95% sure, unless someone comes in with a non-negotiable veto soon)
Which reminds me…I might bring the GF along, but she’s not a doper. No issue? Though she’s an introvert as much as I am, and she’s also not familiar with any of ya so we’ll see if she’s into that too.
