I’ve often thought about this incident since reading the original thread in the Pit a couple of months ago. It really stuck in my mind because nothing in this world makes me angrier than the intentional abuse of someone who is unable to defend themself.
Phlosphr, it’s too bad there aren’t more people like you and your wife in this sorry world. If there were more people like you, a woman like HW probably would have never gotten that job in the first place.
You should be very proud of yourself and your students should consider themselves very lucky to have you as a teacher.
