Photographers.. Help needed with wedding portraits.

Hiya all…
I am photographing my friends wedding in a couple of months, and for some early preparation, need to pick your collective brains.

My problem is this. My mate is over 6 feet tall, and his fiancee stands about level with his lower ribs

How can I hide this disparity? Can I make it look good easilly?

I have done weddings before and I am a professional childrens photographer, but I haven’t come across this before.
So. Ideas? solutions? help in general?

Please?

Couple of different methods I have used. Perhaps the best is steps. The steps leading up to the alter - put him at the bottom and put her about two up. The steps at the front of the church - him a couple down and her at the top.

I also have a small step ladder (two step) I usually use to get unique angles. I have her stand on the top step, her dress goes over it and there you have it. You may also have the groom seated and the bride standing.

For a slightly more relaxed photo you always can have him kneeling and her seated on a pew arm and things like that.

Both Canon and HP books used to have some good suggestions in their “How to” books on wedding photography which usually can be picked up at camera shops.

Since you’re looking for advice and not facts, I’ll move this thread to IMHO.
