I’d say among potential governors Ken Cuccinelli is pretty high up the list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Cuccinelli
Rick Snyder of Michigan seems to do pretty good with drawing ire.
Jan Brewer of Arizona, a pandering Gila monster with all the moral compass of a gob of spit.
Plus he’s signed a bill making it harder to get a legal abortion, stating that “life begins at conception.”
And he’s authorized taking money earmarked in the budget for schools to use for general purposes.
The man is a hypocrite of the worst sort.
I’m no fan of Brownback, but for your sake I hope you never got upset at anyone who suggested Jimmy Carter was anti-Semitic because frankly your implication is far dumber and more offensive.
He’s been a strong proponent of increasing the number of legal immigrants to the country and has adopted a number of children most of whom are people of color and fought strongly for tougher regulations against the mail order bride industry which exploits countless numbers of women of color.
Most significantly, he was also virtually alone among US politicians in fighting to do something about the Darfur genocide, for which I will always give him enormous credit for, since far too many Americans only care about atrocities against Muslims when committed by Jews or (sometimes) Christians.
Now, does that mean I approve of him?
No, he’s also extremely homophobic and extremely pro-life. Ironically enough, he’s this way for the same reason he pushes for allowing more Latinos into the US, adopts black children, and tries to save Muslims from a genocide. He’s a hard core Christian conservative who just happens to think the Bible does more than just say gays are awful, women aren’t allowed to get abortions, and evolution is nonsense.
This doesn’t make him someone I’d vote for, but it does mean implying he’s a racist is both offensive and stupid.
While I largely agree, I do have friends in Kansas, so for their sake, let’s not hope the economy tanks.
