Make sure the URL ends in a well-known image extension like .JPG or .GIF to ensure that the image actually appears inline.
Also, I believe the URL to the image needs to stand alone on its own line.

And it should be tasteful, with the appropriate lighting. Perhaps keeping the horizon in the upper or lower half of the picture, never in the middle.
For instance, subjects should be wearing formal wear, such as top hats.
