Pictures on CD ROMS-can I use?

I have this movie CD ROM that has a picture of actor Omar Sharif that I would love to be able to use. (NOT for violating copyrights)…is there anyway to save a picture from a CD ROM?

You have to provide more info than that - are you running on PC, Mac, Unix or something else? What kind of CD-ROM? A CD is just a storage medium, it can contain any type of image format.

If you’re running Windows and the image file isn’t a standard format you can access directly (like JPEG or GIF), it may be possible to press the PrintScreen key (or sometimes Shift-PrintScreen) to copy the entire screen into the clipboard. Nothing visible will happen when you press the key, but if you then go to an image editing program or Word and select Paste, the image will be pasted from the clipboard.

There are also many image editing programs that provide this screen capture function, such as PaintShop Pro. (Is that still shareware?)

PC! And I tried it using paintshop…it worked!
Thank you sooo much!

You now have Omar Sharif in your clipboard. What exactly are you going to do with him?

RE:

You can shoot the Sharif, but just be sure you don’t shoot the deputy

Rhythmdvl, eeeeeeeeewwwww!

Astro holds his nose and runs away!!

Use it to make a collage of Doctor Zhivago pictures…
