Pictures on Facebook pages

This is driving me bonkers! I know Facebook has (or used to have) a way to move pictures from one album to another, but I can’t find it.

I’m working on a Facebook page for an annual event that’s been going on for over 60 years. Many of our photos aren’t labeled. I’m setting up albums for every year, plus a “catch-all” album for photos we haven’t identified. When someone gives us info on a picture, I want to move it to the album it belongs in.

For example, when someone says, “That’s from the 1987 Festival,” I want to put it in the 1987 album. I do not want to delete it and re-upload it, because that would lose all of the tags and comments. NOTE: This is a Facebook page, NOT a personal timeline.

Did they remove this capability, or am I just going crazy?

Go into an album. Click “Edit Album” (it’s in the upper-left-hand corner of the page). Click on the little tabs on the upper-right-hand corners of individual pictures you’d like to move. “Move to other album” is the first option in the drop-down menu that appears.

Holy crap that works! I’ve been trying to figure this out for days and days! Thank you!

Even after reading that, I couldn’t find it. I stared at that collection of pictures and didn’t see any little tabs. Then I bumped the mouse and the tab appeared.

sigh

I didn’t realize they had hidden the controls so that they only appeared on mouseover.

Thanks, Clockwork.
