Pies, and Cakes, and Cream Puffs, Oh My!

Not much of a difference, except for one: the top crust. On a crisp, the topping is usually a crumbly, crisp one–some recipes might remind you of granola. On a cobbler, the top is usually either a pie dough or sweet biscuit/shortcake topping. Just had one recently where the top was almost cake-like–not thrilled about it, I prefer the shortcake texture.
