Mario Kart is far and away the most-played game on our Wii, and besides Wii Sports Bowling, the only one we play together.
So the recommendations to date:

This is in addition to Sports Resort (which came with the system) and Fit Plus (which is the main reason I got the system).
I’ve also seen references elsewhere to New Carnival Games, as being a MotionPlus-compatible game. Has anybody tried this game?
ETA: Mario Kart comes with Wii Wheel – does the RemotePlus fit this accessory?
The new Remote does, yes. If you have an old one, you need to remove the WiiMotion+ first.
Oh, and I love using the wheel! =)
If you like music games, Samba De Amigo is really fun for two people (and pretty cheap now too, I believe), and Boom Blox 2 is another fun party game.
Thanks for the info, Red Barchetta. As I got the Wii last month, it ships standard with a RemotePlus.
