Pinned topics at the top of each forum are irritating as hell because they take up too much space and don’t stand out enough so are difficult to ignore. Any way to make them smaller and remove the preview text blocks?
FWIW, if you click the pin icon, it’ll unpin, then go away upon refresh. I’m not exactly sure what can be done if you want them back, but it’s one solution.
Sweet! T/Y
I think it’s time to consolidate all forum rules into one, well-formatted post in ATMB. Having the most pinned posts per capita on the internet is not a good experience.
I’m guessing it becomes a regular post at that point, and is shuffled into the regular flow in the forum, ranked by age / last post?
I’m posting this to see if I can delete the original.
Which results in this.
Interesting. Wondering where the utility lies.
It is interesting, because one of the rules on the old board was our posts were indelible; there forever and ever. Now us lowly peons have the ability to delete our own posts?
That can’t possibly lead to anything good.
Please tell me how to “pin” a topic. I want to make sure I never inadvertently do it.
GREAT idea! Where’s the “LIKE” button on this thing?
j/k I know that the LIKE feature has been disabled, and I’m cool with that.
ÜBER cool.
But it’s still a great idea, which I’d like to see implemented.
Also: what’s a “pinned” post? Does it have anything to do with Pinterest? Because I want NOTHING to do with Pinterest.
Whatever you do, never hit Shift+“p”.
Thanks. I won’t.
Pinned posts are like the stickies and announcements on the old site. They’re stuck to the top of each forum, and have a push-pin icon next to them.
