I have no idea what the deal is, or if it’s just my computer… but anyone ever heard of PerfectNav? Its some stupid search engine. And evertime I try and click on a link and it takes more then 10 seconds to load, it goes here and its starting to PISS ME OFF. I tried to get into one of the threads, “I fucked up” and I ended up there. FIVE TIMES. It does it when I try to get to my LJ freinds page, when I want to check my junkmail…

Its been going on for about a week now. I want it to stop. Anyone else getting this too?

In fact, I had to redo this because when I tried to post it the first time, It went there too! Could this be a virus? Because this is a new laptop, and that would SUCK.

Spybot

Download, install, update, run, watch all sorts of trojans, tracking cookies, and other garbage disappear.

Done it. Didn’t work.

I had to run spybot to get rid of that.

I don’t see how they think this is a good idea.

A google search gave me this page: http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/library/perfectnav/index.phtml
which appears to have instructions for removing perfectnav.

BTW, did you install the most recent reference file for Ad-aware?

it’s available from
http://updates.ls-servers.com/reflist.zip

save it to your machine and unzip it to c:\programme files\lavasoft\adaware
then run the scan again.

Or you can just click on the globe icon when running adaware and let adaware handle the update automatically.
