Pitter patter of little feet in Gotham City...

For those not in the know, as of the recent Catwoman #53

Selina Kyle has given birth to a baby girl named Helena. Batman drops by to give her a teddy bear, but no confirmation as to whether he’s the dad or not. Cute kid, though.

And the issue was written by Will Pfeifer, which amuses me greatly for some reason.

Gah! So does this mean that they’re planning on reviving a future Huntress-as-Batman’s-daughter situation? Helena Wayne was the Huntress on Earth-2 before the Crisis, when she was suddenly Helena Bertinelli, a mob boss’s daughter on Earth-period (a retcon I never subscribed to).

Aaaand I just realized I despoilered your spoiler…

Reporting to mods to fix…

Helena Bertinelli

Is still around, and still the Huntress. So if they’re going that route with baby Helena, it’ll be a “possible future” thing. Or at least a little bit down the line. Who’s the new Catwoman, btw?

Admit it. You love me on my knees…

Y’know, I think Bats & co. might be taking the wrong approach to fixing the population loss problem caused by those supervillains he won’t kill. :smack:

How Earth 2 of them.

Is Son of the Demon, with Talia’s son by Bats, still retconned out of existence?

You folks are welcome in the Comic Book Discussion Thread, just sayin’…

The new Catwoman is Selina’s friend Holly Robinson.

First Amongst Daves, I understand that the Batbooks writers are planning to address Ibn (Bruce’s son by Talia) in upcoming books, so stay tuned!

Or they can have their own discussion here. It can be two things.

Ibn?

“What’d you name your son?”

“Son!”

I find it hard to believe that Ras al-Ghul’s daughter couldn’t pick a real name for her child…

I merely offered, in case they weren’t aware. Snippiness not required.

Ibn = Ibn Al-Xuffasch, “Son of the Bat”.

His name is Ibn al Xu’ffasch - Son of the Bat.

Ah, that’s better. I’m only peripherally involved in comics at the moment, so I’m not up on everything that’s going on (or has gone on in quite a while). We’ve been buying trade format minis, though, and I’m catching up on some things.

Eh. Yours was just as snippy as mine.

No, it wasn’t. He just mentioned that if people wanted to talk about comics, they were welcome in the weekly comic thread. I mentioned Helena’s possible paternity in that thread just this morning. It was a friendly wave that you smacked down.

Oh that’s bull… You can’t tell tone through typing.

His comment can easily be read as snotty
"You folks are welcome in the Comic Book Discussion Thread, just sayin’.

All I said was “Or they can talk about it here in its own thread.”

End the hijack please.

No one’s yet crossed the line, so let’s kill the snippiness accusations and get back to the OP, please.

Damn, Skip got here first and handled it nicely. I was all prepared with a bucket of ice cold water. So, cut out the [ahem] cattiness.

Whoa. I may have to give in and start buying comics.
Just whoa.
