Well, I’m prepared.
Hopefully the focus will now shift to where it should have been all along: the legislature that passed this retarded statute in the first place. The duty to retreat in public places worked pretty well for 250 years.
what’s a “C.O.P.”?
If you mean COP you’ll have to provide a cite. All I’ve ever seen was that he got rejection leters and gave up.
Ha!
He’s been in trouble with the law before, he’ll be in trouble with the law again.
Citizen On Patrol.
Ah, yes, the O.J. postulation.
It’s not an awful law. This is just an awful application of it.
Wait until Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton get on this.
Anybody got any screenshots of the sour faces over at NBC?
This wasn’t an application of it. Zimmerman did not argue that he had no duty to retreat because of SYG. It’s only significant because it initially appeared he wasn’t charged due to SYG immunity.
If this wasn’t an application of it, why bother to use this case as a reason to repeal it? It’s clearly applicable.
This really wasn’t a castle doctrine case–Zimmerman waived his hearing before trial.
Everyone bitched about SYG because they just don’t like it.
Screw the state of Florida.
Screw the biased judge.
Screw the prosecutors.
Screw Sharpton and the other instigators.
Screw the racist blacks that can’t get past the color of someone’s skin.
Most of all, screw Trayvon Martin. Enjoy your dirt nap you drug addicted, racist, wanna-be gangsta.
Dammit, man, I’m the fucking monster here!
Ya’ll shit is awfully emotional for the winning side!
Please leave this message board.
Because people thought and continue to think he wasn’t charged because of the immunity provision in the first place, and because the law is stupid.
Nobody “won.”
Justice was served, in that one has to be proven guilty and that didn’t happen.
Trayvon’s still dead–deserved or not. Zimmerman’s a pariah.
Hopefully, people with concealed handgun licenses see GZ’s stupid mistake in following TM and don’t do that shit.
God knows I won’t.
I have nothing but sincere sympathy for Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. They are Trayvon’s parents. I cannot begin to imagine their pain at this loss of their son and this verdict.
Exactly.
I’m pretty sure the Defense won. I’m not the type to wax sentimental about these things.
