Pjen - a friendly word, fella

I know you are passionate about the topic of Scottish independence, as shown in these threads:

The Scottish Independence Vote- the aftermath

Whither Scotland?

Scotland’s referendum on Independence 18 Sept 2014

Predict: Will Scotland vote to secede?

I won’t quote any posts, because frankly there are hundreds to pick from, but chill out man. Get some sleep, if you can. I know you suffer pain and have difficulty with it, but you aren’t doing yourself or the cause any favours. Right now there’s a couple of low-information posters just baiting you. Walk away. The vote is over. Occupy your mind with something else, at least for a time.

Yer pal,

Greenback

Has the Pit changed?

I think Pjen is a she.

Sweetest pitting ever.

Israel, Scotland… Luxembourg’s next, obviously.

OP Translation:

Shut yer geggie ya nyaff!

And IIRC not a Scot, whatever she puts on her oatmeal.

Pjen can’t take “No” for an answer.

And then, we’ll have to come up with another name for Benelux. Fuck!

Quite right, but in the other direction. Durbuy, La Roche, and Arlon were once medieval counties belonging to Luxembourg. The perfidious Belgians stole them away in 1830 ( 4 is now part of Belgium, 5 is modern Luxembourg, but 4 +5 was the earlier medieval Luxembourg ). Time for an irredentist war to reclaim those lost territories!

Honest(l)y?

I should have gone for “Only Fat Virgins Dislike Pixie Cut Cardboard Tubes (Hey, Pjen, Chill Bro blam blam Sorry You Are Dead And Black But The Law Is Always Right, Regards, Cuntface)” or something.

But I meant this kindly.

I’m actually curious to see if this will work better. Though I do worry that a Pit thread will just become nasty because of its location. The (admittedly few) friendly corrections I’ve received have all been in the form of PMs, probably to avoid any sort of pile on.

Classic.

And I admire that.

How dare the “no” side be negative!

According to her posts in the Scottish referendum thread, she’s English by birth, but long resident in Scotland, married to a Scot (I think), conversant in Scottish culture, and active in her Scottish community. I suppose you could call her a Scot-by-conversion. And converts are always more passionate than the long-timers.

it’s a good one, yes.

naw!

Well, this is in the pit so I’ll say it, “FECK!”

It’s greeeeen.
